Photo: 32 yr old Double amputee Richard Whitehead of Nottingham GBR runs in the 113th Boston Marathon flanked by two unnamed guides. Richard is an amazing individual and he has a blog located here: Richard Whitehead Marathon Champ.
He says on his blog, “If I could sum up everything I do, it would be what’s tattooed on my right arm: Cometh the hour, cometh the man.”
In 2008 Richard ran in marathons located in Rome, London, Pietermaritzburg and Kilimanjaro. An amazing person with a desire to compete with “able-bodied counterparts” as he puts it.
I say, kudos to Richard Whitehead for running in the Boston marathon!
As the Battle Hymn of the Republic played in the background while Steve Sandstrom gave an outstanding speech to approximately 7000 Tea Party goers.
Presenter Steve Sandstrom is a lifelong Dayton resident and businessman (He is co-owner of Miami Valley Annuity). He firmly believes the only hope for our nation to preserve its greatness is to reject dependence on government and reverse the current policies of ever-higher taxation and ever-growing wasteful spending. One of his children recently served in Iraq as a member of both the Army and Navy.
Steve starts out, “I’m mad as hell, you mad as hell? I’m nervous as hell.”
He begins with a little history lesson about King George III and his taxing effect on peaceful men of the United States. He says, “They were decent god fearing people, like you and me. But they lived under the yoke of tyranny. For decades they were forced to pay outrageous taxes on everything they owned and everything they produced. King George III gave them 2 choices, pay or be imprisoned. These were men of peace, but they decided they would rather die than pay taxes to an unjust ruler. You know what happened next.”
Make the decision today to stand up for your country and challange those who are opposed to your point of view. Not with anger, but with truth. Not with your fists, but with your facts. This is a war of ideas and we have the superior weapons.
Here are the words to the first verse of the Battle Hymn of the Republic:
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on.
ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is the nation’s largest community organization of koolaid drinking nuts in the nation. This is the group that got addicts to vote by bribing with drugs, alcohol and cigarettes.
Accorn is sending out people with petitions for you to sign. They will tell you they are supporting what is going on and ask you to sign their petition. Don’t sign anything!
Instead, expose these frauds! Combat the nuts, take photos of these wierdos and explain what these far left loons are trying to do.
Ariana Huffington of The Huffington Post wants to have ‘citizen journalists’ at as many of the April 15 tea party events as possible. She wants to humiliate the people at the Tea Party.
She goes on to say, “If you’re interested in attending one of the protests and reporting back to the Huffington Post with dispatches, photos, or video, click below to sign up. We’ll contact you shortly with further instructions. Sign Up To Become A Tea Party Reporter (Link removed)”
How good are Huffington Bloggers? Well it depends on what you like to watch. For example on this Post called ‘Tea Party Insanity: Burn the Books”, a Huffington ‘citizen journalist’ blogger posted a secret video and posted it on-line. Wow, great video reporting! Awesome inside information from a small bar with no national figures, no apparent organizers. Just people who all feel the same about Obama’s Changes. Nice work filming a bunch of drunk people in a bar. Now there is in depth Huffington citizen journalism!
Hey look she also posted Rhino Humping!
Where does Ariana get these ‘Citizen Journalists”? Junior High School? Your are an embarrassment to journalism, Huffington.
Because the left wing liberals have proven that making noise and protesting works, I’m attending the Dayton, Ohio Tea Party.
Protesting is tough on Conservatives Most conservatives have jobs. We’re not on welfare, but we aren’t rich either.
I know it’s a hardship to take time out of your busy schedule to act crazy, wave signs and shout slogans. But we need to make our voice heard because our government is now adding debt at a rate never seen before. If we stay on this same path, we will all be in a huge financial mess we will not recover from in our lifetime.
Please join me on April 15, 2009 and add your voice to mine.
Rally’s are being held across the country. You are not alone with your frustration.
